The Balvenie Doublewood draws honey, vanilla and oak flavours from its time in traditional oak casks and a variety of fruity sherry flavours from the second finish in ex-sherry casks. This brings a breadth of character with a fullness of flavours, including cherries, sultanas and other cooked fruits. The 200ml bottle is a brilliant taster and works perfectly as an after-dinner dram. The Doublewood is one of the Balvenie’s best-regarded expressions so this is an ideal gift for any serious whisky lover.

Nose - The traditional oak cask maturation brings honey and vanilla notes while the sherry casks introduce a balance of spicy fruit scents.
Palate - Sweet red fruits such as cherries and raspberries combine with nutmeg, black pepper and cinnamon for a sweet and spicy dram.
Finish - Long and warming - more sherried fruit flavours and a distinct spiciness to finish.
