rarest reserve
By duncan Taylor
The ‘Rarest Reserve’ collection is a series of exclusive expressions from the company’s most revered casks. Presented in a striking and elegant gold bar and bottled at 100ml, the packaging design was released for the first time last year, for their Macallan 33 and 52-year-olds.
Beautifully balanced and fully integrated, decades of maturation has offered up the subtleties of Islay peat combined with fruit and dried seaweed which in turn, holds together the notes from the ex-Pedro Ximenez sherry hogshead.
