The 18 Year Old has a strong character but with new complexity as it comes of age from its time developing in ex-bourbon barrels, evolving into a dram ready for you to sit back and appreciate. In the 18 year old, the vanilla note apparent at 10 years becomes amplified, complimented by the sweetness of ripe fruits, ginger and honey, and a hint of fresh mint leaves against deeper, woody, toasted flavours.
Nose - Sweet, vanilla and soft toffee with soft gooseberry,Bramley apple and a touch of cinnamon and freshlybaked apple tart.
Palate - Oily, sweet and full bodied with an upfront fruitinessof oranges and nectarines followed by herbal notesof freshly cut mint and heathery honey with subtleginger spice and peaty notes of iodine.
Finish - Sweet and rich with a long savoury and smokyfinish.
