‘Caduro’ (named after an international cable brand once produced at the former Wire Works) is a unique vatting of lightly peated Derbyshire single malt matured in a combination of American and French oak, including first-fill ex-bourbon and White Peak’s signature STR casks—reconditioned wine barriques that are shaved, toasted and re-charred. The selection of STR casks and the proportion of French oak used in Caduro provide added fruit depth and intensity to the lightly peated spirit.

Caduro is the founding member of the Provenance Core Range. Each release reflects a flavour-before-cask philosophy of whisky-making, rooted in a deep respect for Derbyshire’s industrial heritage and legacy of innovation. Every drop is crafted with full life-cycle provenance at the Wire Works, with mashing, fermentation, distillation and maturation all carried out onsite.
