First produced in 1997 at the renowned Springbank Distillery, Hazelburn is their unpeated, triple-distilled single malt—often the most overlooked of the distillery’s core range. The 2025 release is an 8-year-old expression matured exclusively in Oloroso sherry casks, offering a rich and elegant profile. On the nose, sweet cinnamon leads into notes of cocoa powder, cranberry, and redcurrant. The palate bursts with mixed berries, strawberry bubble gum, sticky toffee pudding, and blackberries, while the finish lingers with a warming nuttiness of hazelnut and walnut. This release highlights Hazelburn’s delicate yet complex character.
