Others believe it is their great copper stills, which continue to be direct fired, and some believe the secrete is the families uncompromising commitment to maturing Glenfarclas in the best oak casks in dunnage warehouses.
Where ever the secret lies, this 12 year does the name justice, inviting you to share in enjoying and savouring a stunning dram.
Nose - Light yet with a creamy texture, soft sherry, rich dried fruits mingle with honey that balances out with woody notes of oak and a hint of pine and a very soft hint of smoke. Gentle and well-balanced.
Palate - Oloroso sherry gives the typical notes of raisins, date and fruit cake, earthy hints from the dunnage warehouse creep in. A beautiful note of malt, with toffee apple and a touch of smoke.
Finish - lovely andlong, notes of allspice, cinnamon and cloves, with orange zest and sherry creates the perfect spicy end.
