Dalwhinnie's 15 year old whisky is a great single malt produced at what is thought to be Scotland's highest distillery. It's greatly enjoyed alongside specially selected handmade chocolates, tastings of which are held on Dalwhinnie's distillery tours. It's classed as a Highland whisky, despite the use of fresh water from a tributary of the River Spey. The Dalwhinnie distillery has been creating fine spirits since 1898, when it was founded by John Grant, George Sellar and Alexander MacKenzie. The distillery is located 1164 feet above sea level, creating true Highland single malt whiskies.
