Applying their 175-year-old artisan process, Dalmore has crafted this whisky to combine the punchy strength of their premium whisky with the rich flavours of port from W&J Graham’s vineyard. This particular expression is initially matured in American white oak cases before being separated into ex-bourbon barrels and Tawny port pipes. It is then married back together to create a richly fruity flavour balanced by bitterness and woody flavours.
Nose - A lot of sweetness. Red berries, zesty citrus and rich toffee flavours.
Palate - More sweetness. Caramel creaminess and zesty flavours mix with dark chocolate bitterness and Java coffee.
Finish - A short finish with more bitterness, some hints of spice and more dried fruit.
