Cameronbridge 23 Year Old Samhain Series Lady of the Glen

Lady of the Glen single grain offering for the Q3 Samhain release, Cameronbridge is fairly local to our home in the busy town of Leven in Fife and is potentially the largest distillery in the whole of Europe!  Although now highly modernised, the site is the traditional home of Haig and where the concept of column still distillation was trialled.

Clean and fresh on the nose with notes of sweet toasted oak, wood shavings and chocolate honeycomb.  The high ABV is apparent on the initial palate but the mouth coating oils and texture deliver bucket loads of almonds, vanilla custard and sweet spices.  Short, clean, buttery and refreshing on the finish.
