Ardnamurchan Sherry Cask Release combines the complex flavours of quality Sherry casks and coastal peat smoke. The Distillery have married 10 Peated Sherry butts with 15 unpeated Sherry hogsheads.
Nose - Murray mint, bonfire on the beach, salted peanut ice-cream, tomato stalks, Brazil nut and sundried tomatoes.
Palate -Tarry rope, bung cloth, smoky bacon, old tractor shed, peanut brittle, sticky spare-ribs.
Finish- Crashing waves, sea-salt, bothy fireplace and cigar shop.

A beautiful dark rich colour that holds well in the glass.
The aroma of warmth and sherry richness with a distant hint of peat and tar draws you in.
An initial silky smoothness on the palette like brown sugar and caramel with a soft honey peppery tang that lingers. A subtle like licorice after taste. I must admit I really enjoy this one.

This is a new distillery and they are making some interesting whisky. This sherry finish is a very pleasant dram for the price
