This cask transports you to a Californian beach, Highway 1 behind you and whiskey in hand. It’s fresh and alive, with spice, green pepper and fresh coffee to taste. A totally delicious complex oddity. 

American Experimental Malt – Only 315 bottles produced. Distilled on 25/01/2016 and bottled on 17/11/2023, this expression was matured in new American oak. Crafted by St. George Spirits in the Bay Area of San Francisco, the distillery—founded in 1982 by Jörg Rupf—helped ignite the modern American artisan distilling movement, combining tradition and innovation in every bottle.

This whisky kicks off with a bright, peppery punch from green pepper and fresh jalapeño (no, we have no idea where this flavour comes from from a production standpoint, but we like it!) combined with the aroma you get when walking past your favourite coffee shop, balanced by the gentle sweetness of poached pears. It finishes smooth with creamy white chocolate matcha and the comforting crunch of Hob Nobs.
