This 2021 Distillers Edition was distilled in 2007 and is finished in Montilla Fino sherry casks. This creates as whisky full of rich fruitiness and maritime notes that combine beautifully with the character of the distillery spirit. Producing an explosive, rich and deep expression of Oban.
Nose - Salty sea spray seasons sweet fruits like oranges and grapes, heightened by soft campfire smoke.
Palate - complex rich palate full of waves of delicate fruit carried on a salty tide, smoke is soft in background combined with a slight spice of oak.
Finish - Jamaican coffee enjoyed with a malt biscuit, slight oak spice lingers.
