"Very layered, with notes of oak, vanilla, and honey.Quite complex on the palate, featuring flavours of burnt caramel and toasted oak. Beautifully sweet, likely from the bourbon barrel. Nice long finish, oaky, spicy, and sweet! Very well balanced."

"The Glenrothes has been a standout Speyside distillery since the 1870s. During that long storied tenure, it has accumulated an almost mythical standing—defined by a creamy textured malt, often studded with vanilla and citrus peel overtones. The approach that the Imperious Whisky team has taken with this particular cask maintains that lush mouthfeel. But the bouquet has shifted considerably. A melony sort of fruitiness underpins the aroma; suggestive of honeydew. Fruit in the center of each sip is here characterized by rounded berry clusters. wrapped in mint sprigs. The finish fades slow with petrichor and mineral earth. An absolute belter of dram, from top to tails."
