This grain whisky from  North of Scotland distillery was distilled in 1972 it was allowed to mature in oak casks for 50 years and was bottled at cask strength 42.6%, with no colouring or chill filtration. It is a single cask  DT1173 that produced a limited amount of  bottles.

"Built by one of the most remarkable men of the Scotch Whisky Industry, a man who also built his own single malt distillery, George Christie was one of the great unsung heroes of our industry with many consumers having never heard of him sadly. His legacy is carried on by his son Ricky, a great friend of Duncan Taylor Scotch Whisky Limited. Spirit first ran from the stills in March 1958 after Christie buying and converting the Forth Brewery in Cambus. The distillery was sold to the Distillers Company Limited in 1980 who were a pre-cursor of the Diageo of today." - Ian Logan Duncan Taylor Senior Spirits Manager.

Duncan Taylor is renowned for the quality and breadth of its casks of single grain scotch whiskies. The whiskies are matured at their original distilleries to allow them to mature in the environment they which they were distilled in keeping as much of the distilleries' character as possible, they are only bottled when they reach the optimum age and quality.
