This new release from the historically mellow Dufftown distillery in Speyside takes its name from a salmon fly. Maturation in specially selected ex-sherry casks gives this malt red berry, fresh cut grass and honey aromas reminiscent of idyllic summer days.
Tasting Notes
Nose - A sweet, red berry nose - strawberries, plums, raspberry jam and cut grass give way to vanilla and toasted oak.
Palate - Malt and green grass taste softens quickly, with rich fruit and a spiced hint amongst the sweet oak notes.
Finish - A drying oak finish with a creamy hint of coconut.
