This North British 1991 whisky has been aged for 25 years in oak cask #5913039 and has been bottled at 52.7%, this cask yeilded only 60 bottles. This whisky is part of the Rare Auld Grain range which is a premium collection highlighting the multi-dimensional nature of the Duncan Taylor Portfolio. The rarity of the range is implicit. Each whisky is the product of a single cask, bottled at natural cask strength and presented in a luxury carton. The provenance of each cask is featured on the label, including the origin of the spirit, distillation and bottling dates, cask number, as well as the number of bottles yielded from the cask that have been individually numbered.
Tasting notes
Nose - Sweet ginger and lime
Palate - Smooth, rich and full of sweet sherry notes and spice, orange rind.
Finish - Long and luscious, more sherry and a touch of marzipan.
