Taking inspiration from MacNair’s discovery of the delights of a dram beside a smoky peat fireplace, Master Blender Billy Walker has drawn upon his half century’s experience in blending to develop a recipe fit for a traditional Scottish toast to long life; “Lang may yer lum reek”.
Billy has sourced the finest vintage Speyside and Islay Single Malts, then blended with aged GlenAllachie, in pursuit of the perfect balance between peat and rich, fruity character. The spirit was laid to rest in premium Spanish sherry casks, French oak, and virgin oak casks. As time passes, the flavours marry and extract additional depth and sophistication from the wood
Colour: Rich Butterscotch
Nose: Subtle peat smoke, dark chocolate shavings, runny honey and vanilla fudge.
Palate: Old leather, cedar wood and gentle undertones of peat. Alongside oodles of cocoa, vanilla pods and sweet spices.
