In 1862, Dupre Barbancourt, a native of the Charente region in France, put the finishing touches on a rum recipe that still bears his name today. Using a double distillation method usually reserved for the very finest cognacs, he discovered a rum of incomparable quality that has always received the highest international distinctions. Distilled in Haiti at Barbancourt Distillery in 2004. Aged 12 years 288 bottles came from cask # 59
Tasting Notes
Nose – Sweet hint of spice, herbal, vanilla, sugar cane.
Palate – Herbal, peppery, roasted nuts, creamy.
Finish – Smooth and mellow.
