Bottled from a single first-fill cask, this characterful single malt is as unique as the place where it was made. Bottled exclusively for Aberdeen International Airport, there were 188 bottles released that came from a 1997 Bourbon cask #91. Rich rewards follow 21 years of patient maturation in a single first-fill Bourbon barrel, as this small batch release shows. Sheilded from the world’s prying eyes, deep in the fertile ‘Granary of Aberdeenshire’ and only ever produced in small, precious batches, Glen Garioch is a rare find indeed, warmly appreciated by those who like a hearty Highland malt. Ron Welsh, master blender at the Glen Garioch distillery, said: “Glen Garioch 1997, Cask 91, is a very rare whisky that has been perfectly matured for more than two decades. At the peak of its perfection, this exquisite liquid is the perfect whisky for those travelling through Aberdeen Airport who want to take a taste of the city back home with them.”
