XOP meaning Xtra Old Particular is part of a single cask series of whiskies from independent bottler Douglas Laing. Originally founded in 1948, this family run business has been passionately bottling a unique and varied range of malt whiskies for generations. The oldest, rarest and finest of the family held stocks of whisky is used to become part of the XOP range. This Aberlour 25 year old is one of 262 individually numbered bottles and has been selected from the Laing family vaults at the very peak of perfection, bottled by hand and numbered expressing the genuine individuality of this release.
Nose - Fleshy peaches and exotic spices. Cookie dough and strawberries.
Palate - Thick and delicious with fruit compote, chocolate and rich, creamy barley.
Finish - Very long and sweet, waxy oranges, brown sugar and lots of dried fruit.
